After many years of dedicated service and leadership, our partner and President, Julie Brinkerhoff-Jacobs, has decided to retire from her position at the end of the year, and over the next couple of months will be transitioning out to step back and spend more time with her family.  We, at Lifescapes, want to take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to Julie for her outstanding contributions to our firm. Her legacy will always be remembered and respected, and we wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.

Julie has spent 42 years with the firm and has been an integral part of our firm’s success, contributing her vision, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence. With her help, we have achieved remarkable milestones, delivered outstanding and iconic projects, and established a strong reputation for innovative landscape design.

She has been active in a variety of professional and charitable organizations, including Urban Land Institute, and was co-founder of HomeAid America. Throughout her career, she has been recognized many times for her professional achievements, including Orange County Businesswoman of the Year, Soroptimist International Woman of Distinction Award and the B.J. Stewart Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Involvement. She will continue her commitment and passion for helping others achieve their own success by sharing her own, as well as remaining a mentor to our team moving forward.

For many decades, she has worked side by side with the other Executive Senior Principals—Dan Trust, Roger Voettiner, and Andrew Kreft—continuing the vision established by Lifescapes’ Founders and Julie’s parents, Don and Barbara Brinkerhoff. Dan, Roger, and Andy will seamlessly guide the team forward, shaping innovative destinations for generations to come. These leaders, together with our talented and dedicated professionals, have been instrumental in our success and will carry Lifescapes confidently into the future with strength and vision.

We are certain this transition will be smooth, and that our clients and partners will continue to experience the creativity, reliability, and collaborative spirit that define our work. Your projects will remain in the hands of a team deeply committed to delivering thoughtful solutions and inspired landscapes.
